How much time do we have?

"One Flower Per Day" is a journey through the quiet, unstoppable force of nature reclaiming what’s hers, one small change at a time. It’s not about dramatic upheaval or catastrophe—rather, it’s about the subtle, almost unnoticed shifts that happen when we’re not looking. As humanity clings to its toxic habits, nature begins to reshape us, slowly and quietly, through a series of transformations: body, voice, mind, and appearance.

In the piece, we explore these shifts in unexpected and, at times, absurdly humorous ways. The dancers’ bodies transform—sometimes gracefully, sometimes awkwardly—as they reflect the slow decay and renewal of nature itself. The voice starts off clear and human, only to distort and crack as the disconnection grows. The mind shifts, unraveling from reason to instinct, while the dancers’ appearances change, blending the grotesque with the beautiful, the destructive with the regenerative.

There’s humor in the absurdity of it all. The transformations are not always tragic or heavy; sometimes they’re funny, even silly, as if to remind us that change, no matter how inevitable, doesn’t always have to be grim. The piece captures how we’re caught in this process—unaware, at times, and at other times laughing at the sheer strangeness of it all—while time slips away.

"One Flower Per Day" is a meditation on transformation: how it happens quietly, without us noticing, and how nature’s reclaiming process is both beautiful and absurd at the same time. It’s a reminder that, while we’re busy with our daily lives, change is happening all around us—often in ways we don’t see until it’s too late.
